Overview

MRT-7 Rhythm Trainer ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.

Data Collection

The App collects limited data only where necessary to provide in-app purchase functionality. The App does not:

Collect personal information such as your name, email address, or Apple ID
Track your usage or behaviour within the App
Use advertising or analytics tracking services
Require user accounts or registration
Access your contacts, photos, camera, or microphone
Share data with advertising networks

The App does collect the following limited data in connection with in-app purchases:

Purchase History: Records of in-app purchases you make, including transaction identifiers and entitlement status
Anonymous User Identifier: A randomly generated device-specific ID (not linked to your Apple ID, email, or any personal identifier) used to validate and restore purchases

This purchase data is not linked to your identity. It cannot be used to identify you personally.

Local Data Storage

The App stores the following data locally on your device only:

Custom rhythm patterns you create
Saved presets and configurations
Sound settings (timbre, pitch, volume, tone)
App preferences (theme, haptic feedback, etc.)

This data is stored using your device's local storage and never leaves your device.

In-App Purchases

The App offers in-app purchases to unlock premium features. All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store or Google Play. We use RevenueCat as our purchase management provider to validate receipts, manage entitlements, and restore purchases across reinstalls.

What RevenueCat Processes

When you make or restore an in-app purchase, RevenueCat processes the following on our behalf:

Purchase history and transaction receipts
Entitlement and subscription status
A randomly generated anonymous App User ID (e.g. $RCAnonymousID:xxxxxxxx) — this is not linked to your Apple ID, Google account, email, or any personal information

RevenueCat uses Stripe as its payment infrastructure provider. RevenueCat and Stripe may process the above data in accordance with their own privacy policies:

Purpose of Processing

Purchase data is used solely for:

Validating and processing in-app transactions
Restoring purchases if you reinstall the App
Fraud prevention and receipt verification
Aggregated revenue analytics visible only to the developer (Benjamin Stevens)

Data Retention

Purchase history is retained for as long as necessary to support entitlement validation and fraud prevention, or until you request deletion (see Your Rights below). Apple and Google may retain transaction records independently under their own policies.

Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following third-party services solely for purchase management:

RevenueCat — purchase validation, entitlement management, and subscription analytics. Privacy Policy
Stripe (via RevenueCat) — payment infrastructure. Privacy Policy
Apple App Store / Google Play — payment processing for in-app purchases. Governed by Apple's and Google's own privacy policies.

The App does not integrate with any advertising networks, behavioural analytics platforms, or data brokers.

Audio Permissions

The App requires audio playback capabilities to function as a metronome. No audio is recorded or transmitted.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. In-app purchases made by minors on iOS and Android require parental approval as enforced by the respective platform. If you believe a child has made a purchase without consent, please contact us at support@mrt7.com.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above.

Your Rights

You can delete all locally stored app data at any time by uninstalling the App from your device.

To request deletion of purchase history held by RevenueCat, or to request access to the anonymous purchase data associated with your device, please contact us at support@mrt7.com. We will forward your request to RevenueCat on your behalf. Note that Apple and Google may retain their own records of transactions under their respective policies.
